Mirae Asset Global Appoints SVP For US

Mirae Asset Global Investments has hired Robert Mulligan as senior vice president, strategic relationship manager, for the US. At Mirae, he will develop and maintain Mirae Global's relationships with national and regional broker-dealers, bank, advisors, and supermarket platforms. His appointment also comes at a time Mirae is seeking to reach out to more retail and high net worth clients.
Mulligan joins the company from GE Asset Management, where he most recently served as director of national accounts. He brings over 18 years of industry experience, having served senior capacities at Transamerica, GE Capital, and Keystone Investments.
Also stepping in as emerging market specialists to the national sales team are Matthew Brancato, Peter Corritori, and Jennifer Fuentes. The three will distribute the Mirae Asset Discovery Funds, which were launched in September with a lineup that consists of six emerging market equity strategies.
Mirae Asset Global Investments specializes in emerging market equities and is headquartered in Seoul, South Korea. The firm presently has over $50 billion in assets under management, of which $30 billion are involved with emerging market equities.
